Knowing what to say here is challenging, so brief background. I worked in Primary education for 13 years, 7 years as a specialist TA and 6 years as a class teacher. I specialised in supporting small and tiny humans with SEND and challenging behaviour and has an odd ability to see what my students and their families needed to thrive. I was a huge advocate for family partnership and worked closely with parents, who are the experts in their children.
I received my diagnosis at 48 and it was a revelation. I definitely worked through a period of mourning, for the years of being misunderstood and misunderstanding my self. I am passionate about empowering others to see who they are and celebrating their unique operating system , that is Neurodiversity and to understand that different is not less, fitting in is not everything and being yourself to allow the world around you to adjust is more than acceptable. 
Post lockdown I felt frustrated by the lack of mental health support available for children and their families and decided to retrain as an Education Mental Health Practitioner. I worked as part of a Mental Health Support Team in Berkshire and noticed that a vast majority of the families and young people I worked with were either on a Neurodiversity pathway, had a diagnosis or had strong Neurodivergent traits . 
After some enthusiastic encouragement from those around me trained as a Neurodiversity Coach. And here I am.
